Far flung fans follow March Madness at AMP

PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WJAR) — Fans flooded Providence from locales including Cabot, Arkansas; Lake Charles, Louisiana; New York; and Clemson, South Carolina, to catch March Madness action at the Amica Mutual Pavilion (AMP) downtown.

Some McNeese fans told NBC 10 News their appearance and first-round win put the small Louisiana school on the map.

Other visiting fans singled out Rhode Island as a venue, one saying that the state “has been so nice. The food is amazing, everything has been great.”
