US law enforcement arrested a suspected sham contractor, an Irishman named John O’Brien, for allegedly scamming homeowners out of up to $80,000 for unrequired repairs, becoming the second Irishman in recent weeks to make headlines in the US for alleged crimes.
Federal agents and the Warwick Police Department in Rhode Island teamed up for the arrest after a joint investigation involving Homeland Security targeted O’Brien.
