WEST WARWICK, R.I. (WPRI) — Sherry Duguay is frustrated that her 83-year-old mother and other tenants in the Wildberry Apartments in West Warwick have been dealing with bedbugs for months.
According to spokesperson Abigail Appel, there was an outbreak in eight units over the summer. The pests were exterminated, but the problem has persisted on and off for several months.
“My mom needs to sleep peacefully,” said Duguay. “And when you think there’s bugs crawling around and you’re scratching all night… There was a time when she was taking Benadryl every night to go to sleep.”…
