Crews knock down fire at Warwick commercial building

WARWICK, R.I. (WPRI) — An investigation is underway after a fire broke out at a commercial building in Warwick Saturday evening.

Battalion Chief Matthew O’Donnell said firefighters were called to the building on Herff Jones Way after sprinklers went off due to a small fire in the back.

The sprinkler system kept the fire contained until it could be extinguished, according to O’Donnell, and there was smoke throughout the building…
