Cool, cloudy, breezy end to weekend before warmth returns to start work week

Southern New England will dry out on Sunday, but it will still not be nice to be outdoors because of a gusty wind, an overcast sky, and cool temperatures.

Low pressure will be slow to depart the region, keeping clouds in place for the remainder of the weekend. On the backside of the area of low pressure that brought rain on Saturday, winds will pick up, with gusts of 30 to 40 miles per hour possible on Sunday.

High temperatures will top out in the mid to upper 50s on Sunday, which is cooler than average for late April.
