PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WPRI) — A swearing-in and commendation ceremony was held on Saturday morning to promote 37 department members and recognize outstanding acts of bravery and service.
The event included the swearing-in of newly promoted firefighters and a ceremony where some were awarded medals for their actions.
