BACK ON TOP: UAlbany Claims Fourth America East Championship

SMITHFIELD, R.I. ( NEWS10 ) — The University at Albany women’s lacrosse team claimed its fourth America East Tournament title on Sunday afternoon, downing host and No. 1 seed Bryant, 14-10. Key Stats:

  • Gracie McCauley led both teams with eight goals scored, breaking an America East Tournament single-game record. She added two ground balls and a caused turnover.
  • Dylana Williams followed with a hat trick and added one assist.
  • Ava Poupard , Emma Weaver and Zareena Sorho all scored once. Poupard finished with a team-high three assists.
  • Grace Cincebox played the entire game in-net, making eight saves for a .444 save percentage.
  • McCauley was named the America East Tournament’s Most Outstanding Player. Joining her on the All-Championship Team were teammates Mikaela Mooney , Mackenzie Salentre , Kloey Roos and Grace Cincebox .
