BURRILLVILLE, R.I. (WPRI) — A Burrillville man appeared in court Tuesday morning, accused of driving more than 100 mph before losing control and crashing last month .
Jake Surprenant, 30, was charged with reckless driving and numerous traffic violations after he allegedly crashed his pickup truck into a utility pole on April 8.

Multiple Jaws of Life were used to extract Surprenant from the truck, after which he was flown to Rhode Island Hospital.
