Fall River Police Arrest Shooting Victim on Multiple Charges

FALL RIVER (WBSM) — Fall River Police arrested the victim in a shooting last week after he was allegedly found in violation of an abuse prevention order and in possession of fentanyl.

According to police, detectives responded to Charlton Memorial Hospital on May 9 following a reported shooting near the 200-block of Orange Street. The victim, identified as Jesus Santana, 22, had suffered injuries that were not life-threatening.

Police said that during the course of the investigation, “hospital staff turned over evidence removed from Santana’s person, including approximately 10.6 grams of suspected fentanyl and a wallet containing a large sum of cash.”…
