Motorcyclist killed in crash with SUV on Mass. highway

A motorcyclist was killed in a crash with an SUV on Route 28 in Wareham Thursday afternoon, according to the Plymouth County District Attorney’s Office.

South Attleboro resident Matthew Burns, 49, was riding his motorcycle north in the area of 2309 Cranberry Hwy. when he lost control of his vehicle, according to witnesses, the district attorney’s office said in a press release. He then veered into the southbound lane and was struck by a Mercedes SUV.

Wareham and Massachusetts State Police responded to the scene and found Burns unresponsive, the district attorney’s office said. Emergency responders tried to revive him, but he was soon declared dead…
