Soggy Night In Southern New England

The rain is coming down here in Southern New England, but our severe weather chances are very limited the rest of the night. That said, don’t be surprised to hear some thunder/see some lightning and have gusty winds at times along with the heavy rain. The heaviest rainfall tapers off after midnight, but we will still have showers heading into Wednesday morning. Lows will be near 70 degrees.

Tomorrow, the cold front that has urged our storms along stalls across the area. That means we’ll have a few rounds of showers between the morning and afternoon. Highs will be in the upper 70s along the coast, and low to mid 80s inland.

The good news is that this front finally looks to get a move on by Wednesday evening, which opens the door to a comfortable fireworks experience in Providence (scheduled for 9 PM) as clouds decrease…
