Powerball, Mega Millions sales dip in Southern New England

CRANSTON, R.I. (WJAR) — Powerball and Mega Millions ticket sales declined significantly between FY 2024 and FY 2025. The trend has been noticeable nationwide, and Southern New England is no exception.

According to the Rhode Island Lottery, Powerball ticket sales decreased from 7,830,545 in FY 24 to 4,157,629 in FY 25. The drop-off in revenue totals roughly $17.8 million.
