(WJAR) — With Thursday’s storm causing widespread damage across Rhode Island and Massachusetts, officials are urging the public to use caution, especially around downed power lines.
The Cranston Police Department sent out a warning to avoid power lines.
“Although they may look de-energized they can easily be energized and be fatal it contact is made,” wrote Major Todd Patalano.
The department says officers are out with Rhode Island Energy crews to help with the removal effort, but that is not the case everywhere…
