Massachusetts kid granted ‘Make-A-Wish’ in the Midstate

GETTYSBURG, Pa. (WHTM) — While many kids who are granted a ‘Make-A-Wish’ go to Disney, one Massachusetts kid wished to visit part of the Midstate.

Lochlan Brown of Plainville, Mass. was diagnosed with a rare cancer in 2023 when he was just eleven years old.

“It was a tumor on the pituitary,” said his mom, Dedrea LaValley. “Lucky for us, it was a crazy fast responding type of illness. His first round of chemo, it had already started to shrink, literally. Initially, they thought, oh, you know what, five or six rounds of chemo. He only got like three. Oh, wow. And then they were like six or seven weeks of radiation. He went like four and a half and it was done. We got really lucky. Six months.”…
