Pawtucket employee pleads not guilty to animal cruelty charges

PAWTUCKET, R.I. (WPRI) — The Pawtucket city employee who’s facing animal cruelty charges related to an investigation at a Warwick home last month faced a judge Thursday morning.

Jeff Almeida, who turned himself in at the Warwick Police Department last week, is charged with five misdemeanor counts of unnecessary cruelty to animals.
