PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WPRI) — The union representing workers at Rhode Island Hospital and Hasbro Children’s Hospital has reportedly reached a tentative agreement on a new contract.
Rhode Island Hospital and United Nurses and Allied Professionals (UNAP) — which acts as the collective bargaining agent for nearly 2,500 employees, including nurses, technicians, case managers and support staff — finalized the new terms on July 3 after months of negotiations.

Now, the contract is headed to a ratification vote which is scheduled to take place Thursday, according to Rhode Island Hospital spokesperson Kelly Brennan.
