Bryant University buys Parente’s Restaurant

SMITHFIELD, R.I. (WPRI) — The Bryant University campus is going to be expanding with the addition of Parente’s Restaurant on Douglas Pike in Smithfield.

The owners of Parente’s announced on social media that they would be closing their doors for good at the end of June.

A short walk from the university, Parente’s has been a fixture of the Bryant community. During the school’s 162nd Commencement in May, honorary degree recipient and Bryant trustee David Beirne even gave the eatery a shoutout in his speech.
