Today is a Storm Team 10 Weather Alert as a heat wave is underway across Southern New England.
The worst of the heat is expected on Tuesday, with high temperatures in the mid-90s. Dew points will be in the 70s, making it feel tropical outdoors. The combination of heat and humidity will push the heat index above 100 for a few hours Tuesday afternoon. A Heat Advisory is in effect for all of Rhode Island and Bristol County, Massachusetts.
Today could also be record-breaking, as the daily high temperature currently sits in the mid 90s.
