Fall River man wins $2 million Powerball prize

FALL RIVER, Mass. (WPRI) — A Fall River man won a $2 million prize playing Powerball on Wednesday.

According to the Massachusetts State Lottery, Christopher Williams was out for a walk with his kids to get slushies when he decided to buy a Quic Pic ticket at the Cumberland Farms on Stevens Street.

The Massachusetts State Lottery said the first five numbers on his ticket matched those selected during the drawing. Williams also opted for the Power Play option, which doubled his prize.

Williams said he plans to use the money to buy a house, invest, and take care of his children…
