Massachusetts State Police nab suspect, firearm and recover stolen motorcycle from New Bedford

Massachusetts State Police successfully recovered a stolen firearm and motorcycle earlier this week in Bristol County.

According to the Massachusetts State Police, troopers from the Troop D Community Action Team were attempting to pull over a motorcycle in New Bedford when the rider tried to escape. The operator lost control, fell off the bike, and continued fleeing on foot.

Following a short pursuit, the troopers caught up to the suspect and took him into custody. During a routine pat-down search, officers found a loaded Smith & Wesson M&P Bodyguard .380 handgun in the suspect’s pocket…
