1 hospitalized, poles knocked over after rollover crash in Attleboro

ATTLEBORO, Mass. (WPRI) — A person was rushed to the hospital and multiple utility poles were knocked over after a rollover crash in Attleboro Sunday afternoon.

Fire Chief Scott LaChance said the crash happened just before 5 p.m. in the 600 block of Washington Street. When crews got there, they found a vehicle on its roof and three snapped utility poles.

The driver, an elderly person, was pulled out of the vehicle by a bystander before first responders arrived, according to Lachance. The individual was taken to Rhode Island Hospital and suffered not life-threatening injuries.
