PAWTUCKET, R.I. (WPRI) — Police have arrested a man accused of robbing a Pawtucket gas station over the weekend.
Robert Smith, 60, was taken into custody Monday and charged with first-degree robbery.
Officers were called to the Gulf Express off East Avenue Sunday to investigate reports of a robbery.
Police said the suspect walked into the store, claimed he had a gun and threatened to shoot the clerk in the head. He then ran out of the store with an undisclosed amount of cash from the register…
