Developers vow to continue repurposing Superman building

PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WPRI) — High Rock Development renewed its commitment to renovating the so-called Superman building Friday in the wake of longtime owner David Sweetser’s death.

Sweetser, who was a principal for the Massachusetts-based firm, first bought the iconic skyscraper back in 2008.

The Westminster Street high-rise, formerly known as the Industrial Trust Building, has sat vacant since Bank of America moved out in 2013.
