Officers given Narcan after substance found at ACI

CRANSTON, R.I. (WPRI) — Two correctional officers at the ACI were taken to the hospital after an “unknown substance” was found in a jail cell on Saturday.

According to a spokesperson for the Rhode Island Department of Corrections, officers smelled an “unknown aroma” during recreational time at the prison.

During the search of the cell area in question, correctional officers found an “unknown substance” and began to feel faint…
