Providence man charged in highway hit-and-run

PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WPRI) — A Providence man is facing charges connected to a highway hit-and-run that happened earlier this week, 12 News has learned.

Dwayne Silva, 43, was taken into custody Thursday morning and charged with duty to stop in an accident resulting in serious bodily injury, receiving stolen goods less than $1,500 and driving with an expired license.
