On Friday, a 46-year-old Fall River man named Daniel Arruda, also known as Danny Arruda, was sentenced in Fall River following a jury trial in New Bedford Superior Court.
According to the Bristol County District Attorney’s Office, the jury found him guilty of multiple serious charges: three counts of indecent assault and battery on a child under 14, three counts on a child over 14, and aggravated rape of a child with a five-year age difference.
Court records show Arruda received a sentence of 20 to 30 years in state prison, with 36 days credited for time already served.
