New Providence facility offers water-based cremation services for pets

PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WPRI) — A new facility in Providence is offering pet owners an alternative way to part with their beloved companions.

Nature’s Pawprint is Rhode Island’s first “aquamation” facility — cremating pets with a water-based process instead of a fire-based one.

The business, located at 170 Rhodes Street, was co-founded by Dr. Jane Linden and Michelle Sylvester. Linden previously founded Providence River Animal Hospital and is the former president of the Rhode Island Veterinary Medical Association.
