PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WPRI) — Three men appeared in court Friday morning to face gun charges.
Providence police executed a search warrant Thursday afternoon at a restaurant and upstairs residence on Atwells Avenue in an “ongoing effort to disrupt illegal activity involving firearms and narcotics.”
Aroldo Orellana and Charles Smith, both 19, and Gary Maddox, 20, are each charged with two counts of possessing a large-capacity feeding device and possessing a stolen firearm.
Smith and Maddox are also charged with two counts of carrying a pistol without a permit. In addition, Maddox faces two counts of possessing a firearm while committing a crime of violence and possession with intent to distribute marijuana…
