WARWICK, R.I. (WPRI) — State and city leaders gathered Thursday morning to unveil a new apartment complex in Warwick.
The housing development, called “The Presley Apartments,” is located at the former Sheraton Hotel on Post Road.
“My administration’s $2.2 million investment in the Presley Apartments is the latest in a series of projects we are supporting to make housing more accessible and affordable for Rhode Islanders,” Gov. Dan McKee said in a press release. “With more than 6,700 units complete or in the pipeline, a record-housing bond, and a strong public-private partnership, we’re turning resources into actions.”
The complex has 24 one-bedroom units, which are 715 square feet and start at $1,625 a month, and 166 studio units, which are 350 square feet and start at $1,295 a month…
