Warwick traffic cameras now issuing fines

WARWICK, R.I. (WPRI) — The grace period is over for the traffic enforcement cameras that went online in Warwick last month.

In a social media post, police reminded the community that the school-zone and red-light cameras would start ticketing on Monday, Sept. 29.

Speeding more than 10 miles per hour over the speed limit in an active school zone will carry a $50 fine per violation, while the fine for running a red light will be $85. Failing to stop for a school bus when its lights are flashing and the arm is extended carries a fine starting at $250…
