Man sentenced in 2021 double murder at Fall River park

FALL RIVER, Mass. (WPRI) — The man convicted in connection with a deadly double shooting in Fall River four years ago will spend the at least 50 years behind bars, according to Bristol County District Attorney Thomas Quinn III.

Jeremy Holmes, 23, was found guilty last November of two counts of first-degree murder and unlawful possession of a firearm.

Holmes, who was 18 at the time of the murders, received two consecutive sentences of 25 years to life in prison with the possibility of parole, as is required by state law…
