Mother turns tragedy into advocacy at walk to end domestic violence

WARWICK, R.I. (WJAR) — Standing strong alongside her son Gabriel, Estefania Dempsey bravely recalled the day in 2024 when her husband, Seamus Dempsey, took the life of her 4-year-old son Liam.

“In that moment, my whole world collapsed,” Estefania said. “The man that I once loved took away the most precious gift in my life. I escaped that day, but Liam didn’t.”
