PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WPRI) — Rhode Island will be hosting the state’s first unclaimed property auction in more than a decade this weekend, according to General Treasurer James Diossa.
The unclaimed property auction will take place Saturday inside the Rhode Island Department of Administration building.
The auction is slated to begin at noon, and the public will have the opportunity to bid on nearly 5,000 items in 420 different lots, including rare coins, fine jewelry, precious metals and other valuables…
