Man accused of brutally stabbing former mayor Will Flanagan again held without bail

FALL RIVER – A Fall River man accused of brutally stabbing former mayor Will Flanagan in an unprovoked attack in October had a hearing to review status on Thursday.

According to court records, 31-year-old Corree K. Gonzales continues to be held without bail at the Bristol County House of Correction after a judge previously ordered him to undergo a mental health evaluation at Bridgewater State Hospital to determine competency to stand trial.
