CRANSTON, R.I. (WJAR) — A hazmat crew responded to the ACI on Friday when a correctional officer encountered a suspicious white powder, the union told NBC 10 News.
According to the union, the officer was sorting through mail when they came across the white powder and alerted authorities.
The union says the officer was checked out and was determined OK to return to work.
