Nick Tasca always loved the nostalgia of a traditional soda fountain, that icon of mid-century Americana. But if he and his wife were to open their own soda business, they knew they had to update the idea to modern tastes.

Enter dirty soda, the bubbly blend of syrup and cream that’s grown from its roots out west to become a nationwide craze.

The Tascas opened their mobile soda shop Rhody Pop in July to tap into the sugary sensation.
