7 Rhode Island college students treated for alleged drug overdose

PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WPRI) — A spokesperson with the Providence Police Department in Rhode Island says that seven people were treated for drug overdoses at a home on Liege Street early Saturday morning.

Steve Maurano, associate vice president of Public Affairs, Community, and Government Relations at Providence College, that the victims treated were all students at the school.

Just after 12 a.m., a videographer with NewsNation affiliate WPRI saw several ambulances and rescues from multiple departments on scene, as well as Providence detectives.
