Massachusetts approves social consumption of cannabis

BOSTON (WPRI) — Cannabis businesses in the Bay State can soon allow customers to use their products on-site at their facilities.

The Massachusetts Cannabis Control Commission (CCC) unanimously approved new regulations Thursday night to allow on-site marijuana consumption.

“The Commonwealth has been eagerly waiting social consumption, so we’re proud to move this effort across the finish line,” CCC Chair Shannon O’Brien said. “We look forward to the economic opportunities these new license types will offer to small businesses and entrepreneurs who have been disproportionately harmed by the War on Drugs.”…
