Providence, Rhode Island – A steady winter snow event will move into southern New England late tonight, bringing accumulating snow and slippery travel through much of Sunday. The timing targets overnight hours and much of the daytime Sunday period, increasing the likelihood of ongoing road impacts.
Snow is expected to begin around 10 p.m. this evening and continue through Sunday afternoon before tapering off near or after sunset. Total accumulations of 2 to 4 inches are expected across southern Rhode Island and southeastern Massachusetts, including the Providence metro, coastal Rhode Island, and Cape Cod.
