Rep. Gabe Amo leads moment of silence on House floor for Brown University shooting victims

U.S. Rep. Gabe Amo, of Rhode Island’s District 1, led a moment of silence on the U.S. House of Representatives floor Monday for the victims of the mass shooting at Brown University over the weekend.

Amo stood with U.S. Rep. Seth Magaziner, of District 2, and several other representatives in Washington, D.C., to memorialize the two killed and nine injured at the Ivy League campus on Saturday, Dec. 13.

“We rise to honor two students – Ella Cook and MukhammadAziz Umurzokov – whose lives were tragically ended in the horrific mass shooting at Brown University this weekend,” Amo said at the podium. “Today, we hold in the light the victims, their families, and the Brown University and broader Rhode Island communities.”…
