Crime experts reveal one aspect that makes Brown University shooting ‘unique’

Days into the relentless manhunt of the Brown University shooter— who claimed the lives of two students and injured nine more—, experts are stunned that the suspect has managed to remain at large and presumably alive, with his whereabouts a chilling mystery.

Five days into the manhunt, as of Wednesday afternoon, authorities showed no sign that they were closer to the fugitive. To help their search, the FBI released an image of a person they believe to be in connection with the Brown shooting. The man in the image was not identified as a suspect, but Providence police described him as somebody “who was in proximity of the person of interest.”

However, despite the continued release of footage and the challenges authorities continue to face, experts seem mostly surprised by one aspect of the investigation—the fact that the person of interest is presumably still alive…
