PROVIDENCE – Conjuring House owner Jacqueline Nuñez has already signed a deed transferring ownership of the famed haunted house to “Ghost Hunters” star Jason Hawes, according to documents filed Tuesday, Dec. 16, in Providence Superior Court.
A copy of the signed and notarized deed, dated Oct. 9, is included as part of a procedural agreement in the lawsuit filed by Nuñez’s older sister, Elizabeth Greenhalgh, of Utah, who is seeking to block the sale, arguing that Nuñez lacks the mental competency to sign legal documents.
Under that agreement, Hawes says he will not file the deed in the land records of the Town of Burrillville and he will not close on the sale until the court rules on Greenhalgh’s request for a preliminary injunction blocking the sale…
