Emergency shelters open ahead of forecasted snow

PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WPRI) — There’s frigid temperatures and plowable snow in the forecast for Friday and Saturday.

Rhode Island

Central Falls

  • Forand Manor: 30 Washington Street
    • Open from 9 p.m. on Dec. 26 until 9 a.m. on Dec. 27
    • All are welcome

Newport

  • Newport Mental Health Overnight Warming Center: 1 Eisenhower Street
    • Open from 7 p.m. to 7 a.m.
    • All are welcome

Providence
