PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WPRI) — The door at Louis Family Restaurant may be closing for the Gianfrancesco brothers, but it will soon open again for another pair of business owners.
The beloved Brook Street diner will be closing its doors for good on New Year’s Eve after nearly 80 years in business.
“We had a very good run,” said John “Johnny” Gianfrancesco, who owned the restaurant alongside his brother Albert for decades. “It was just wonderful.”
