Dominican national convicted of Identity Fraud in Fall River pleads guilty to new charge after allegedly reentering after deportation

BOSTON – A Dominican national in state custody at Souza-Baronowski Correction Center in Lancaster, Mass., pleaded guilty today in federal court in Worcester to unlawfully reentering the United States after deportation.

According to a release by the Massachusetts Department of Justice, 48-year-old Carlos Alexander Martinez-Jimenez pleaded guilty to one count of unlawful reentry of a deported alien. U.S. District Court Judge Margaret R. Guzman scheduled sentencing for Feb. 9, 2026. In December 2025, Martinez-Jimenez, who is currently serving a state prison sentence, was indicted by a federal grand jury.

In February 2017, Martinez-Jimenez was convicted of Furnishing a False Name or Social Security Number as well as Identity Fraud in Fall River District Court, for which he was sentenced to 134 days in state prison.
