PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WPRI) — The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) said the United States is seeing the highest levels of the flu in 25 years.
As cases continue to rise quickly, Dr. Suzanne Bornschein with the Rhode Island Department of Health (RIDOH) joined 12 News at 4 to share possible reasons the virus is particularly bad this season.
“It’s hard to know exactly what’s driving it because we never know for sure,” Bornschein said. “One thing you can defintely be sure of is that we normally see flu peaking sometime in the next few weeks.”…
