Providence nightclub temporarily closed after shots-fired incident

PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WPRI) — A nightclub in Providence is temporarily closed after a shots fired incident that happened early Sunday morning, according to police.

Kristy dosReis, a spokesperson for the Providence Police Department, said police were called to Mi Sueño nightclub on Broad Street just after 2 a.m. for reports of shots fired.

According to dosReis, security officers at the business told police that multiple people were in a physical altercation, during which one man left the nightclub and shot a single round in the air before running away toward Prairie Avenue…
