Pedestrian hit by drug suspect during pursuit in Providence

PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WPRI) — A man is in custody after a drug investigation led to a pursuit and a pedestrian being struck in Providence on Friday.

Providence Police Chief Oscar Perez said the community response team was called to Regent Avenue around noon for a narcotics complaint when the driver sped away from the scene.
