Bristol County District Attorney Thomas Quinn, III has announced that a 44-year-old man pled guilty and was sentenced before the Honorable Rene Dupuis in the Fall River Superior Court.
Jordan Caetano of New Bedford was sentenced to serve 8 to 10 years in State Prison for a shooting and related enhanced firearms charges stemming from an incident in October 2024.
On October 27, 2024, Caetano was at the Redwood Lounge located at 1566 Cove Road in New Bedford. Video surveillance captures him arriving at the lounge in his silver Chevy pickup, parked in front of the bar and captures him entering. Later in the evening, Caetano is captured on video sitting in his truck when he is approached by a male who appears to be in an excited state. This excited male then appears to engage with a group of men who appear ready to fight. The initial excited male pulls out, what was later determined to be mace, and sprays two of the men as he runs up the street. The group of males chased the initial male who approached Caetano’s truck, the defendant then exits his truck, extends his arm and shoots. A gunshot can be heard on the surveillance video, followed by a second shot and then a third. Caetano is then seen running back to his truck and fleeing at a high rate of speed. The defendant’s path is caught on several cameras consistent with travel to the home of his mother. …
