RI, Mass. issues truck restrictions beginning at noon Sunday

(WPRI) — Most commercial trucks will not be able to use interstate highways in Rhode Island Massachusetts during the heaviest parts of Sunday’s storm.

Gov. Dan McKee announced Rhode Island’s ban will go from noon on Sunday, Jan. 25 “until further notice.”

“We’re strongly urging Rhode Islanders to stay off the roads during the storm to allow the plows to do their job,” McKee said in a news release. “Our State Emergency Operations Center will be active and monitoring throughout the storm, our plow crews are geared up, and we’re asking Rhode Islanders to stay informed and stay safe.”…
